Studio Visit with Artist Masha Granich (For all the LGBTQIA+ immigrant and refugee community)

Join us for an immersive studio visit with Masha Granich (they/them), a queer and trans Ukrainian immigrant and multidisciplinary artist based in Tiohtià:ke(Montreal). Granich’s work spans blue ballpoint pen, stained glass, metalwork, and found object installations, weaving together visual autofiction and world-building. Deeply rooted in immigrant and refugee experiences, their art is a vibrant fusion of Slavic folklore, oral traditions, and cultural resistance, creating a rich and evolving personal symbology.

As the founder of Rest Stop, a multidisciplinary community space, Granich is an active force in Montreal’s artistic landscape. With past exhibitions at ARTCH, Fais-moi l’art, and upcoming work with La Centrale Powerhouse in 2025, their practice invites us into a world where ancestral legacies and contemporary storytelling collide.
